"Hello, my name is Ken O’Brien, and I am privileged to have been appointed as the President of the Comox Valley PROBUS Club (CVPC). The CVPC was the first PROBUS Club in the Comox Valley, and has now been operating for 25 years, a fact that will be celebrated at our Oct 2026 General Meeting.
We are proud to help promote the central tenets of PROBUS, “fellowship, friendship and fun”. The CVPC boasts an active social program, an interesting and educational speaker program and many regular and periodic club activities that appeal to a wide variety of interests. As a former President, I am also aware that the club currently faces some challenges that I intend to tackle over the next year. In particular, we are always looking for new members to keep our club vibrant, and will look for new and novel ways to recruit new members as well as retain those who have made the CVPC what it is today.
